Elise Trompeter, Psy.D.

Dr. Elise Trompeter is a provisionally licensed clinical psychologist in the process of achieving full licensure. Elise strives to adapt her therapeutic approach to the specific needs of her clients, combining psychodynamic strategies to inspire insight with cognitive-behavioral techniques to facilitate change. Using this combination of insight-oriented strategies and cognitive-behavioral techniques allows for flexibility in therapy, giving space for processing and self-reflection as well as starting to take effective steps toward fullness of life. Elise believes that therapy is not only about achieving goals, but about establishing a trusting relationship in which clients feel respected and have a sense of freedom and agency in their growth.

Elise primarily works with individuals, including adolescents and adults, with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, and various other challenges impacting overall well-being. She also performs psychological assessments to help resolve questions around accurate diagnosis for effective treatment planning. As a Provisionally Licensed Psychologist, Elise practices under the supervision of Dr. Shane Gomes, a fully licensed psychologist at Art of Therapy Center.

Elise earned her masters and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences at Divine Mercy University, graduating in December 2021. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Creighton University’s Student Counseling Services in November 2021.
