Alexis Kressner, LMFT

Alexis is a graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in lifespan development and marriage and family therapy. She completed psychology undergraduate work at North Carolina State university in Raleigh where she completed research with homeless populations in the triangle area. Alexis has internship experience as a school based therapist during graduate training and she enjoyed the systemic focus of the school system, where many people could come together to help tackle a problem that a client was presenting with. Alexis' professional focus for therapy has been on emotion regulation in children, family therapy and sibling work. She has a special interest in working with families who have experienced trauma, who are going through life transitions or just need to communicate a little better, and also has a special interest in working with minority and LGBTQIA populations.

Currently not accepting new clients at the Garrison and Shelby Office.
